The Orland Park Theatre Troupe presents its mystery production of, “And The Killer Is…”
Audience participation is a key element of the troupe’s summer show that includes hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a cash bar.
Performances are this Friday and Saturday, July 20 and 21, at 7 p.m., at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Ave.
Orland Park’s production is directed by Frann Carnivele-Sidlow with Bryan Riess serving as assistant director. Cast members include Rudy Chavez, Felicia Faifer, Alexis Lubienski, Mark Lubienski, Jim Mazeika, Melanie Stanko and Sharon Stolarz.
It’s springtime and the smell of award shows is in the air with the Oscars and Emmys. But perhaps the most anticipated awards show of all is the one that will be produced by the Bit-Players and Extras Academy.
“And The Killer Is…” is about an awards show in which lessthan- skilled actors vie for the coveted BEAT ME award. They must make their mark in a few brief seconds on the screen without the benefit of dialogue.
“We’re looking forward to the audience being an active part of this show,” Carnivele-Sidlow said. “That’s what makes this production so much fun — we never know where it’s going to go.”
Many of the cast members are longtime Orland Park Theatre Troupe participants and they all have refined comedic acting skills. “It promises to be a great show,” Carnivele-Sidlow said.
Tickets cost $25 per person and include hors d’oeuvres and dessert with a cash bar available. Tickets may be purchased at the Orland Park Recreation Administration Building, 14600 S. Ravinia Ave. For more information, call 403-7275.
