Members of the Oak Lawn High School dance team show their school spirit as participants of the school’s annual Homecoming Parade, to step off at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 from 95th Street and Raymond Avenue in downtown Oak Lawn. The parade will be led by the Johnson-Phelps VFW color guard and will feature the Oak Lawn High Homecoming Court, Spartan Marching Band, cheerleaders and floats. This year’s Grand Marshal is retiring Oak Lawn High business education teacher and attendance coordinator Janice Voight.
Homecoming festivities are scheduled for next week, beginning with an all-school pep assembly at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25. The homecoming king and queen will be announced during the rally. The Spartans will host the Evergreen Park Mustangs in the varsity game scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
The homecoming dance will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 in the Oak Lawn High Auditorium Gym.
