Chicago Ridge

Andrew Ward, 53, of the 5500 block of West Fulton Street, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and having a broken windshield following a traffic stop at 9:10 p.m. July 23.

Movin Pishdadi, 47, of the 9200 block of Pembroke Lane, Bridgeview, was charged with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest following an incident in a store in the 6400 block of West 95th Street at 8 a.m. July 24. Police said he refused to leave the store as requested and would not cooperate with police.

Joshua Farley, 21, of the 10700 block of South Oak Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was arrested on two outstanding warrants when police saw him at the Chicago Ridge Fest, at 11:15 p.m. July 24. Police said the warrants included one from Cook County for driving under the influence of alcohol, and another for obstruction from Palos Heights.

Hayat Abouelkheir, 34, of the 14700 block of South Arboretum Drive in Homer Glen, was charged with retail theft at 3:50 p.m. July 24 outside Carson Pirie Scott in Chicago Ridge Mall. Police said store security guards detained her after she was seen taking clothing worth $356.

Edez Gonzalez, 19, of the 2700 block of South Tripp Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a license and failure to wear a seatbelt following a traffic stop at 2 p.m. July 26 in the 10300 block of South Ridgeland Avenue.

Armando Andrade, 50, of the 3800 block of West 62nd Place, was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding following a traffic stop at 9:20 p.m. July 25 in the 10700 block of South Harlem Avenue.

Jose R. Herrera, 24, of the 2300 block of West Orchard Street, Blue Island, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance, and no seatbelt twice in the same day. Police said the same officer stopped him at 8:20 a.m. July 25 in the 9900 block of South Ridgeland Avenue, and again at 12:30 p.m. at 111th and Central Avenue after he bonded out the first time. He posted $200 bond twice, police said.  

Evergreen Park

Alice Co, 52, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking a $12.49 box of nasal strips from CVS pharmacy, 3201 W. 95th St., at 5:21 p.m. July 20.

Anika Walker, 41, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft after police said she took three bottles of laundry detergent worth $26.76 from CVS, 3201 W. 95th St., at 8:40 p.m. July 20. Police said the charge was upgraded to a felony because of past convictions.

Antonio Johnson, 19, of Chicago, was charged with criminal trespassing and operating a motor vehicle without authority when he was pulled over while driving a stolen car at 12:56 a.m. July 21 in the 2300 block of West 97th Street. His passenger, Monique Wilkins, 19, of Riverdale, was charged with criminal trespassing to property.

Kyanna Williams, 23, of Evergreen Park, and Amber Tiffany, 22, of Chicago, were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Tiffany faces an additional charge of possession of cannabis, after they were stopped at 3:37 a.m. July 22 in the 9400 block of South Kedzie Avenue. Police said Williams was in possession of a marijuana grinder, and Tiffany had two grinders and plastic tubes with marijuana residue, and 3.3 grams of marijuana.

Arnold Dobbs, 51, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking antiperspirant and other items totaling $17.55 from CVS, 3201 W. 95th St., at 7:38 p.m. July 1.

Steven Adams, 57, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft after police said he took “consumable goods” worth $11.49 from CVS, 3201 W. 95th St., at 9:30 p.m. July 22. The charge was upgraded because of previous convictions, police said.

Hickory Hills

Three males were charged with possession of cannabis after police found them in the BP gas station parking lot, 7933 W. 95th St., at 12:36 a.m.  July 22. The three cited were Saeed A. Abdulrab, 22, of the 7900 block of West 100th Place, Palos Hills; Saeed A. Abdulrab, 19, of the 7900 block of West 101st Place, Palos Hills; and Ahmed B. Braqa, 18, of the 7500 block of West Claridge Drive, Bridgeview.

Anthony B. Gomez, 37, of the 8500 block of West 84th Court, Hickory Hills, was issued a village ordinance violation for public indecency after police reported finding him urinating on the sidewalk in the 8600 block of West 87th Street at 7:32 p.m. July 24. 

Oak Lawn

Dean A. Smith, 33, of the 4800 block of South Lake Park Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop at 7:30 p.m. July 22, at 103rd Street and Kildare Avenue.

Donovan B. Norris, 24, of the 8200 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding, and no insurance, when he was stopped at 10:55 a.m. July 22 at Kolmar Avenue and 103rd Street.

Denis Javier Padilla, 30, of the 4200 block of West Belden Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a license and suspended registration when he was stopped at 5:18 p.m. July 21 in the 9100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue. He is due in court on Aug 31.

Miyata S. Styles, 20, of 10400 block of South Sangamon Street, Chicago, and Ayonna Samarah Gilbert, 18, of the 1500 block of West Kasten Drive, Dalton, were charged with felony retail theft and obstruction of identification, a misdemeanor, after allegedly leaving Kmart, 4101 W. 95th St., at 7:40 p.m. July 20, with a cart full of merchandise they hadn’t paid for.

Store security officers said they tried to stop them in the parking lot, but the women drove away. They were apprehended shortly afterward in the 10200 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Evergreen Park. Police said items stolen from Kmart were found in their car, and the women initially gave false names.

Andrew G. Delbosque, 24, of the 4800 block of West 121st Street, Alsip, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding (47 in 35) and driving without insurance, when he was stopped at 1:36 a.m. July 20 in the 6200 block of West 95th Street. Police said he refused breath test.

Charles L. Cazley, 27, of the 3200 block of Charlemagne Drive, Chicago, was charged with improper use of registration, obstructing identity, driving without a valid license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and village ordinance violation for disorderly conduct for public urination after police reported seeing him urinating beside his vehicle at 9:43 p.m. July 19, in view of customers in Walgreens parking lot, 10639 S. Cicero Ave. Police said Cazley initially gave them a false name, and said he couldn’t wait to use the bathroom in the store. They reported finding a glass pipe and copper wire mesh with burned cocaine residue in his car.

Palos Hills

Robert Czuba, 29, of Norcross, Ga., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and several other offenses when he was stopped at 2 a.m. July 23 in the 8600 block of West 111th Street. He was also cited for driving without valid insurance of registration, squealing tires and  failure to signal when required.

Police discovered a burglary at Palos Hills Tobacco, 10322 S. Harlem Ave., at 3:30 p.m. July 23. Officers responding to a burglar alarm at the scene found the front door glass broken and items lying on the floor inside the store.

Yusef Salhieh, 23, of Palos Hills, was charged with aggravated assault following an incident in a parking lot the 10300 block of South Harlem Avenue at 10:30 p.m. July 25. Police were called to the scene by a man who said Salhieh had flashed gang signs and ran toward his vehicle with a knife, attempting to stab him, when the victim pulled into the lot. Salhieh was apprehended a short distance away.

The front window of a truck parked in the 11200 block of South Deerpath Lane was reported broken with a stone between 7:30 p.m. July 26 and 7 a.m. the following day. The owner of the vehicle found a stone inside the truck.

Worth

Jeffrey T. Macklin, 23, of the 6700 block of West Lloyd Avenue, Worth, was charged with speeding 63 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 6900 block of West 107th Street at 12:26 p.m. July 24.

Alan R. Wendt, 48, of the 11700 block of South Lamon Avenue, was charged with driving a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped for speeding in the 6300 block of West 115th Street at 12:36 a.m. July 24. Police said he appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests.

John E. Heniff III, 30, of the 7200 block of West 107th Street, was charged with driving on a suspended license when he was stopped for speeding at 6:54 p.m. July 22 in the 6600 block of West 111th Street.

Police News from 5-28-15

Chicago Ridge

Magdalena Zavala, 42, of the 4400 block of West 53rd Street in Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license and suspended registration following a traffic stop at 2:55 p.m. May 25 outside Chicago Ridge Mall.

Mario Martinez, 24, of the 10700 block of South Lloyd Drive in Worth, was charged with driving without a valid license and improper display of license plates following a traffic stop at 3:19 a.m. May 26 in the 10300 block of Harlem Avenue.

Muhammed Dahabreh, 24, of the 6100 block of West 103rd Street, Chicago Ridge, was arrested on an outstanding Oak Lawn warrant for traffic offenses at 12:40 p.m. May 24, at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. He was turned over to Oak Lawn police.

Daniel Adeniyi, 26, of the 110900 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to signal when required after being stopped at 12:01 a.m. May 24 in the 6400 block of West 106th Street.

Eugene Daly, 18, of the 7200 block of West 110th Place, Worth, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 9900 block of South Ridgeland Avenue at 11:15 p.m. May 23.  Police said he smelled of cannabis, and turned over drug paraphernalia to them. He was also found to be in possession of seven morphine pills and eight hydrocodone/acetaminophen. Daly was also cited for driving without insurance, failure to yield turning left, and improper lane usage.

Evergreen Park

 Carolyn Chiez, 41, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at 10:47 a.m. May 18 at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. Police said she took a small bottle of vodka worth $6.47.

Tatanisha Jackson, 33, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance and no seatbelt with two young children in the car at 1:09 a.m. May 18 in the 3400 block of West 95th Street.

Dominic Fletcher, 35, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal when he was stopped at 3:28 a.m. May 17 in the 9800 block of South Western Avenue.

Jose Amador, of Blue Island, was charged with six counts of retail theft at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., at 11:48 a.m. May 11. Police said he took six items, including clothing and material for cleaning cars worth about $325.

Marcus Williams, 45, of Chicago, was charged with theft and three counts of felony ID theft at 8:22 a.m. May 11 at Binny’s Liquors, 3447 W. 95th St.  Police said he is accused of using three stolen Citigroup credit cards to by thousands of dollars of liquor.  He is accused of putting liquor worth $4,394 on one card, $7,000 on another, and $11,394 on a third.

Hickory Hills

A smoking heating and air-conditioning unit caused police to evacuate everyone from PGN Fun Village, 8125 W 95th St., at 8:32 p.m. May 22. North Palos Fire Department secured the scene. Police said an employee discovered smoke coming out of a ceiling vent into the jungle gym room. It was caused by a faulty HVAC unit that burned up and began smoking after a belt broke, police said.

Oak Lawn

 Kathleen R. Trahey, 52, of the 10300 block of South Parkside, Oak Lawn, was charged with criminal damage to property and leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly intentionally driving her car into an acquaintance’s car in the parking lot of Huck Finn’s, 10501 S. Cicero Ave., at 3 a.m. May 16.

The victim said he had invited Trahey to breakfast, but they argued and she drove into his car twice. She left the scene on foot and was apprehended at 104th and Linus Lane.

Michael R. Lopresti, 31, of the 15500 block of Cougar Road in Homer Glen, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop in the 7500 block of West 95th Street at 1:54 a.m. May 16.
Police said .5 grams of cocaine was found on the floor near his feet.
He was held for a bond hearing. A 19-year-old male passenger was issued a village ordinance violation for possession of cannabis.

Felix Magana, 46, of the 6400 block of West 93rd Place, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped at 12:43 a.m. May 17 at 95th Street and Merrimac Avenue. Police said field sobriety tests indicated impairment, and he refused breath and chemical testing. He was also cited for failure to signal, no front license plate, and speeding.

Dariusz G. Boron, 44, of the 5600 block of South Narragansett Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped at 3:08 a.m. May 17 in the 9400 block of South Harlem Avenue.
Police said he registered .256 blood-alcohol level, more than triple the legal limit. He was also cited in the wrong lane and without headlights.

Khai Tuan Luu, 45, of the 10800 block of South Lorel Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped for speeding at 3:02 a.m. May 16 at Cicero Avenue and 111th Street.
He registered .166 blood-alcohol count and was also cited for improper lane use and speeding.

Ivan D. Thomas, 21, of the 15900 block of South Lelaire Avenue, Oak Forest, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:10 a.m. May 14 at 95th Street and Austin Avenue.
A preliminary breath test registered .195 blood-alcohol count and police reported finding a small plastic bag containing cocaine was found in his wallet. Thomas said he had been celebrating his 21st birthday, and claimed someone put it in his wallet without his knowledge. He was also cited for driving on a median, speeding, not carrying his license, and failure to inform the Secretary of State of an address change.

Palos Hills

 

Detectives are investigating an identity theft report made by a local man on May 18. He said an online ticket purchasing firm had called him to discuss a purchase of Chicago Bulls tickets worth $1,670.40 that had been using his credit card. He also was told someone has been taking out credit cards in his name and made purchases totaling $8,965.

Police said a woman in the 10100 block of South Roberts Road reported being a victim of identity theft on May 19. She told police that someone had filed a tax return in her name and received the refund.

Steven Anich, 30, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at 2 p.m. May 20 at the Palos Pantry, 8652 W 103rd St. Police said he distracted an employee by sending him into a cooler for beer, and then reached over the counter and stole lottery tickets. He fled the store, but was picked up a short time later by police in Burbank. He now faces similar charges in Burbank and Lemont.

Police responding to a road-rage call at 2 p.m. May 21 at the McDonald’s restaurant, 11050 Southwest Highway, charged one Hickory Hills man with assault and another with battery. Gregory Baranek, 18, was charged with battery after a man told them that Baranek had been tailgating him and honking his horn. He said Baranek and his passenger, Devon Smith, 18, also of Hickory Hills, got out their car and approached him at a red light. He said Baranek, who faces an assault charge, threatened him, and Smith, who was charged with battery, reached through the window and struck him in the face.

Bobby Tinerella, 31, of Justice, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, and without a driver’s license or insurance when he was stopped for speeding at 1 a.m. May 24 in the 10200 block of Roberts Road. Police said he appeared intoxicated and refused a field sobriety test. He also received two traffic citations.

Bonnie Sells, 36, of the 10500 block of Roberts Road, was charged with two felony counts of endangering the life or health of a child and two counts of reckless conduct after two 18-month-old children were found alone in her home at 1 a.m. May 22. Police called to the scene for a well-being check reported finding the children with heavily soiled diapers and dirty conditions. She was found two blocks away, at Zante’s bar, where employees said she had been for one or two hours.  The Department of  Children and Family Services was contacted and the children were taken to Palos Community Hospital for check-ups.

Chicago Ridge

Manuel Garcia, 45, of the 2400 block of 25th Street, Rockford, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance, and having a cracked windshield at 8:50 a.m. April 30, in the 10100 block of Ridgeland Avenue.

Nicholas VanHusen, 26, of the 400 block of West Melrose Street, Chicago, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and improper lane usage at 10:40 a.m. May 2 in the 6400 block of West 95th Street.

Myles C. Frank, 23, of the 10400 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was charged with domestic battery following a disturbance at his home at 4 p.m. May 1. Police said he pushed a woman to the floor and punched several holes in a wall.

Lullia Rahman, 21, of the 12100 block of South Lavergne Avenue, Alsip, was charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 4:03 p.m. April 30. Police said security guards observed her in the Kohl’s department store concealing cosmetics worth $279 in her clothing, and encouraging a 17-year-old girl with her to participate in the theft. They were both stopped when they went outside.

Muhammad J. Jarad, 19, of the 10600 block of Mason Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was charged with driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest and disobeying a stop sign at 10:58 a.m. April 30 in the 10600 block of Washington Street. Police said he resisted when he was being put into handcuffs.

Evergreen Park

Meredith Mathis, 37, of Palos Hills, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being stopped for erratic driving in the 3300 block of West 95th Street at 12:15 a.m. May 1.

Joseph Fields, 29, of Chicago, and his passenger, Renee Zagojowski, 26, of Oak Lawn, were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia for syringes and plastic bags when they were stopped in the 3900 block of West 91st Street at 6:30 p.m. April 25. Fields was also charged for driving on a suspended license and an outstanding Will County warrant.

Antonio Rivera-Calvillo, 51, of Blue Island, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 3 a.m. April 26 at 92nd Street and Western Avenue.

Patricia Ann Wlosek, 28, of Alsip, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia, at 12:43 p.m. April 24 at 87th Street and Pulaski Road at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. G

Willie F. Gude, 58, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft after police said he was caught taking food items and alcohol worth $71.64 from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., at 11:42 a.m. April 25. The charge was upgraded to a felony due to several past convictions.

Frederick D. Polcar, 38, of Worth, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance when police said he was found with heroin during an April 24 traffic stop at 95th Street and Western Avenue.

Vanessa Martinez, 19, of Cicero, and Marcos F. Macias, 28, of Chicago, were charged with felony retail theft at 8 p.m. April 24 at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St. Police said they tried to leave with 64 assorted items worth $1,369. They were charged with felony due to past record of offenses, police said.

James N. Hooker, 27, of Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia, at 1 a.m. April 27 om the 9900 block of South California Avenue.

Hickory Hills

Nathan Thomas 19, of the 13100 block of Blackstone Lane in Plainfield, was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest after fleeing from police outside Jewel/Osco, 9528 S. Roberts Road at 7:54 p.m. April 13. Employees said he and another man, who was not charged, were acting suspiciously, and they fled when police arrived. Thomas was found in possession of a bucket of chicken and bottle of vodka taken from the store. He was also wanted on an outstanding Will County warrant.

Mohammad SM Nassan, 19, of the 4900 block of West 84th Place, Burbank, was charged with felony possession of cannabis and other offenses following a traffic stop at 11:56 p.m. May 3 in the 9200 block of Roberts Road. Police said a box containing 169 grams of cannabis in six packages was found in the car. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol because a marijuana grinder and two open bottles of liquor were also in the car.

Ryan M. Stephen, 24, of the 7500 block of West 64th Street, Summit, was charged with driving on a suspended license and issued a citation for  possession of cannabis when he was stopped at 4:27 p.m. May 3 in the 8600 block of 84th Court. Police said he was carrying four small bags of cannabis in his pockets.

Oak Lawn

Naser Abulahajm 24, of the 7000 block of 87th Street, Bridgeview, was charged with driving on a suspended license, suspended registration, no insurance and following too closely when he was stopped at 9:16 p.m. April 25, in the 8900 block of South Cicero Avenue.

Chloe E. Squalls. 22, of the 15100 block of State Street, South Holland, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance, as well as having no front registration plate and one headlight at 9:15 p.m. April 27 at 4100 block of West 95th Street.

Joseph G. Yaber, 39, of the 9400 block of South Meade Avenue, was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was involved in a three-car accident at 5:14 pm. April 28 in the 9100 block of South Central Avenue.
No injuries were reported.

Phillip G. Harmon, 19, of the 8900 block of South Dante Avenue, Chicago, faces felony drug charges after being arrested by police investigating a noise complaint at a house in the 10600 block of South Kolin Avenue at 5:27 a.m. April 26. Police retrieved a bag containing 18 smaller bags of marijuana that they said Harmon tried to hide under a blanket. Two more small bags were allegedly in his pocket, totaling 15.6 grams. He was charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver, while the renter, Nicole Rosales, 23, was issued an village ordinance violation for keeping a disorderly house due to repeated noise complaints.

Jordan D. Smith, 20, of the 2200 block of East Joe Orr Road, Lynwood, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs when he was stopped at 12:51 a.m. April 17 at 103rd Street and Kilpatrick Avenue. Police said he appeared intoxicated and submitted a urine sample. He had no alcohol in his system but allegedly admitted smoking marijuana and taking a Xanax pill.

George D. Doyle, 55, of 8100 block of South Maplewood Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:22 a.m. April 21 at 95th Street and Southwest Highway. He was also cited for speeding and failure to dim lights. Police said he refused chemical testing but field sobriety tests indicated intoxication.

Timothy L. Budzius, 49, of the 9000 block of South Central Avenue, was charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance when he was stopped for erratic driving at 98th Street and Kilbourn Avenue at 10 pm. April 22. Police said they found an amphetamine pill that he did not have a prescription for was found in the car.

Palos Hills

Fernando Verduzco, 25, of Worth, was charged with aggravated speeding, reckless driving, no insurance, and disobeying a stop sign at 12:30 a.m. May 1 at 86th Avenue and 103rd Street. He was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and obstructing. Police said his car fishtailed as it sped away, and he ran into an apartment complex, where he was arrested,

Daniel Grannes, 43, of Chicago, was charged with criminal trespassing following a disturbance at the Valley Inn, 8300 W. 107th Place, at 11 p.m. May 2. Police said they were called to the scene by employees who said Grannes refused to leave, because he had been told not to return after a prior arrest there. He was stopped just outside the business.

Employees of Walgreens, 11053 Southwest Highway, reported seeing two teens, a male and female, taking items off shelves and going into the bathroom.  Before police arrived, the two fled the store, setting off the alarm, and escaped in a car driven by the girl.

Police Beat 4-23-15

Chicago Ridge

Musa I. Adwan, 25, of the 16900 block of South 88th Court, Orland Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana after being stopped for a traffic offense at 8:53 p.m. April 16 in the 10300 block of South Harlem Avenue. Police said he was also wanted on an outstanding Will County warrant for a drug offense.

Nasr Owaynat, 32, of the 8300 block of West 95th Street, Palos Hills, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance when he was stopped for a traffic violation on April 18 at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. His passenger, Jehad Owaynat, 36, of the 7900 block of West 103rd Street, Palos Hills, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt, and an outstanding Cook County warrant for a traffic offense.

Jill McClorey, 55, of the 3100 block of West Marshall Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and following too closely after being involved in a traffic altercation when she was stopped at 12:40 p.m. April 17 in the 10300 block of South Austin Avenue. Police said she registered .267 blood-alcohol count on a breath test.

Evergreen Park

Alice R. Coy, 52, of Chicago, faces one count of felony retail theft for allegedly taking a $33 bottle of Ciroc vodka from Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., at 4 p.m. April 10. Police said the charge was upgraded to a felony because she has several convictions for the same crime.

Adam J. Stevenson, 28, of Evergreen Park, was charged with felony burglary to a motor vehicle for allegedly taking miscellaneous items, including sunglasses and headphones, from a car in the 9500 block of South Spaulding Avenue at 4:30 a.m. April 12. Police responding to a call of burglary in progress said he appeared intoxicated when he was found nearby. He was charged with a felony due to his record of convictions, police said.

Zecola L. Price, 32, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 2500 W. 95th St., at 10:05 a.m. April 12. Police said she took 17 clothing items worth $115.25.

Byron C. Day, 19, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft  at 3:40 p.m. April 12, at Walmart. Police said he took a phone case worth $27.88.

Melvin Jimerson, 49, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at Michaels 9140 S. Western Ave., at 4 p.m. April 16. He allegedly took assorted merchandise worth $47.92

Tyler James Cardinal, 21, of Oak Lawn, was charged with retail theft at Mariano’s, 2691 W. 95th St., at 6:30 p.m. April 13. He took groceries worth $88.01, police said.

Oak Lawn

Cesar Montelongo, 40, of the 5100 block of West Otto Place, was charged with driving on a revoked license, no insurance and no rear registration light when he was stopped at 11:27 p.m. April 9 in the 9100 block of South 51st Avenue. He is due in court on May 14.

Two tires and rims were reported stolen off a 2015 Buick Verano in the Haggerty Buick dealership lot, 9301 S. Cicero Ave., at 1:18 p.m. April 12.

Anthony M. Daniels, 38, of the 1100 block of East 101st Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and failure to signal when he was pulled over at 1:59 a.m. April 13 in the 5600 block of West 95th Street. Police said he registered .088 blood-alcohol count on a breath test, just over the legal limit. He is due in court on May 15.

Rodney Spears, 44, of the 3500 block of West 99th Street, Evergreen Park, was charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct after allegedly threatening employees during a dispute over a malfunctioning phone in the Telecell store, 10300 S. Cicero Ave., at 11:23 a.m. April 13.
Employees said Spears left after arguing with a manager by phone when employees said he couldn’t get a refund, threw the store phone to the ground and broke it. Police called him to the station and arrested him. He is due in court on May 21.

Anthony S. Melander, 33, of the 11700 block of South Kolin Avenue, Alsip, was charged with two counts of battery and disorderly conduct following an altercation with employees at EZ Car Wash, 5606 W. 95th St., at 3:15 p.m. April 13. Employees said they were hit with flying gravel as he sped away, spinning the tires following an argument about how they were washing his car. Police called him into the station, where he was arrested. Melander is due in court on June 5.

Karen L. Comiskey, 37, of the 12200 block of South Spencer Avenue, Alsip, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to signal a turn when she was stopped at 9:06 a.m. April 14 in the 4600 block of West 95th Street.
She is due in court on May 8.

Palos Hills

Kyle Dorner, 20, of Hickory Hills, was charged with felony impersonating a police officer, aggravated assault, reckless conduct, disorderly conduct and illegal consumption of alcohol after police were called to a disturbance at Zante’s, 10307 S. Roberts Road, at 10:30 p.m. March 15. Officers said Dorner tried to hide from them behind a car, and identified himself as a DuPage County officer to them and bar employees. According to employees, Dorner had been told to leave the bar when he placed a gun on a table in the bar. It was later found to be a replica .45 caliber BB gun, that police recovered under the car where he was hiding. It was also determined that he had used someone else’s ID to be served alcohol.
 
Police investigating an April 11 burglary in the 11100 block of Northwest Road arrested a male juvenile on April 14, charging him with two counts of residential burglary on April 14. In addition to the April 11 case, he was also charged in connection with an earlier burglary in the same area. Police said he admitted to both.

Two people reported being victims of identity theft on April 15, when they tried to file tax returns. Both victims said they were informed by the IRS that someone else had already filed under their names. The IRS is working with both people to sort out the situation.

Police investigated a noise complaint at 3 a.m. March 19 in the 10700 block of Christa Court charged Robert Miller, 23, of Orland Park, and Eric Horabik, 25, of Palos Park, with obstruction. Police said Miller interfered with them as they interviewed Horabik, who refused to provide his indentification. Horabik was also charged with possession of drug equipment for having a cannabis pipe, police said.

Worth

Dale R. Kinzie, 55, of the 6400 block of West 84th Street, Burbank, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing two steaks from Fairplay Food, 6620 W. 111th St., at 8:52 p.m. April 17. He was seen getting into a van outside the store, and was taken into custody when the van was pulled over in the 10700 block of Ridgeland Avenue. The driver was not charged.
 
Alyssa A. Spies, 19, of the 5700 block of West 88th Street, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving without a valid license following a stop at 10:38 p.m. April 15 in the 6600 block of West 111th Street.

Reginald Pollack, 18, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft March 24 after allegedly stealing items from Sears at Chicago Ridge Mall, police said.

James L. Terry, 51, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt March 26 after a stop at 94th Street and Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

Carlos Hurado, 36, of Cicero, was charged with driving on a revoked license March 26 after he was stopped at 101st Street and Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

Jihad Jibawi, 24, of Worth, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a revoked license, no insurance and failure to wear a seatbelt after a March 27 stop at 103rd Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Marino Ascencio, 46, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license March 27 after a stop in the 6100 block of 111th Street, police said.

A Macbook Pro and a Macbook Air were reported stolen March 14 from a car in the 10400 block of Lavergne Avenue.

Janet M. Palfry, 57, of Oak Lawn, was charged with assault and battery March 18 following a fight in the parking lot of the Little Company of Mary Care Center, 6700 W. 95th St., police said.

A house in the 9300 block of 55th Court was burglarized March 18-19. Parts of the house were searched but the owner is unsure if anything was taken. The front door was forced open.

The owners of house in the 9100 block of Massasoit Avenue told police they were awakened at 3 a.m. March 20 by the doorbell ringing and loud banging at the front door. Pieces of the door’s trim were found lying on the ground.

The owners of house in the 9000 block of Parkside reported they found their front door open at 3 a.m. March 20. The door appeared to be forced open and the latch assembly was lying on the floor. Nothing was taken from the house.

A safe containing $20,000-$25,000 cash, a $10,000 watch, 11 other watches valued at $5,000 and a wallet containing 25 credit cards was reported stolen March 23 from a house in 9200 block of Major Avenue.

A purse containing $925 cash and credit cards was reported stolen March 24 from a car in the 10300 block of Mayfield Avenue.

Brett L. Toovey, 19, of Worth, was charged with theft March 25 after allegedly stealing a flash drive and lip balm from Walgreens, 111th Street and Southwest Highway, police said.

Andrea M. Pacevicius, 43, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving March 29 after a stop at 105th Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Omar I. Rimawi, 24, of Worth, was charged with domestic battery March 23 after a disturbance at an apartment in the 10700 block of Harlem Avenue, police said.

Jamal K. Jaber, 20, of Oak Lawn, was charged with driving on a suspended license following an accident March 26 at 110th Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Tre E. Anderson, 19, of Chicago Ridge, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving without a valid license March 28 following a stop in the 6900 block of 107th Street, police said.
