A 21-year-old woman was charged with battery after she allegedly spit at officers after possibly having a seizure at the Chicago Ridge Mall.

Melanie B. Eck, of Oak Lawn, was stopped at 7:50 p.m. March 20. She was reportedly intoxicated, and fell to the ground and started shaking. When officers tried to help her, she allegedly began spitting at them and was uncooperative. She was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment, police said.

A 21-year-old woman was charged with retail theft after she allegedly took merchandise with a retail value of less than $150 from a store at the Chicago Ridge Mall.

Samantha K. Blaje, of Worth, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. March 20.

A 22-year-old man was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took jewelry with a retail value of more than $500 from a store in the Chicago Ridge Mall.

Eric A. Kopinski, of Palos Hills, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. March 23.

A 25-year-old man was charged with driving with a suspended license after police stopped the vehicle he was driving at the intersection of 103rd Street and Southwest Highway.

Mario Perez, of Chicago, was arrested at 6:40 a.m. March 23.
