A 41-year-old man was charged with battery after he allegedly punched a police officer, spit on him, and threw human feces at him at Advocate Christ Medical Center, 4440 W. 95th St.

Jon S. Bergman, of Chicago, was arrested at 8:36 p.m. Nov. 29. Bergman was reportedly combative with hospital employees.

A 22-year-old woman was charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly took items from a grocery store in the 9400 block of Pulaski Road.

Safaa Ghusein, of Oak Lawn, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. Nov. 28. She reportedly took a Chicago Bears sweatshirt, five sticks of deodorant, two body washes and two packs of batteries and put them in a bag she was carrying, and then attempted to return the items for a refund. The merchandise had a retail value of $87.68. She reportedly had five generic Xanax pills in her possession.

A 32-year-old man was cited with retail theft after he allegedly took Christmas ornaments and ribbon off a display tree at a store in the 4100 block of 95th Street.

Israel M. Marquez, of Chicago, was stopped at 8:42 p.m. Nov. 29.

A 20-year-old man was reportedly charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving with a suspended license after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 3900 block of 95th Street.

Mohammad T. Abubakr, of Chicago Ridge, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Dec. 3. He had three hydrocodone pills on his person, police said.

A 20-year-old man was reportedly charged with speeding, expired registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 4700 block of 103rd Street.

Jonathan K. McClellan, of Chicago, was arrested at 8 p.m. Nov. 30. He was reportedly driving 70 mph in a 30-mph zone.

A 39-year-old man was reportedly charged with DUI after police found him asleep at the wheel of the vehicle he was driving at 87th Street and Ridgeland Avenue.

Ante M. Dukic, of Oak Lawn, was arrested at 12:39 a.m. Dec. 1.

A 24-year-old man was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took a pair of Nike shoes from a store in the 9600 block of Cicero Avenue.

Cornelius D. Garcia, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:29 p.m. Nov. 28.

A 56-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly yelled at a nurse at Advocate Christ Medical Center, 4440 W. 95th St.

Christal Reynolds, of Blue Island, was arrested at 8:03 p.m. Nov. 27.

A 43-year-old woman was reportedly charged with driving without a valid license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after the vehicle she was driving struck another vehicle in the 10700 block of Central Avenue.

Carmen Aguilar-Hernandez, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. Nov. 27.

A 36-year-old woman was reportedly charged with DUI and failure to dim headlights after police stopped the vehicle she was driving in the 5100 block of 95th Street.

Ceiberia M. Cathey, of Chicago, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. Nov. 25. She was also reportedly charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and improper use of a turn signal.

Aggravated battery was reported at 3:42 a.m. Nov. 27 at a home in the 10800 block of Lockwood Avenue. A man tried to enter a home, then stabbed the hand of a resident when the person struck him with a landscaping brick, police said. The man who tried to enter the home then fled, police said. He was described as black, 30 to 50 years old with a thin build, and wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt and heavy ski-type gloves, police said.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at 3:22 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 5000 block of Lamb Drive. A GPS unit and $5 were taken from the vehicle, police said.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at 5 p.m. Nov. 29 at a Speedway gas station, 6030 W. 95th St. A purse containing two credit cards, an Illinois driver’s license and a debit card were taken from the vehicle, police said.

Theft was reported at 5:35 p.m. Nov. 29 at a McDonald’s restaurant, 9128 S. Cicero Ave. A Galaxy S3 phone worth $530 was taken from the restaurant, police said.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:54 p.m. Nov. 29 at Oak Lawn High School, 9400 Southwest Highway. The rear passenger’s-side window was broken, and two black computer bags, a laptop worth $1,000, and six notebooks were taken, police said.

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:56 p.m. Nov. 29 at Oak Lawn High School, 9400 Southwest Highway. Someone entered a vehicle’s unlocked rear passenger door and removed a 10-inch flip screen television worth $300, police said.

Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at 11:07 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 4000 block of 93rd Street. A bag containing gravy, eggs and flour was thrown on a car parked in a driveway, police said.

Theft was reported at 2:14 p.m. Nov. 30 at a parking lot in the 8700 block of Ridgeland Avenue. A Trek 7000 bicycle worth $1,000 was taken, police said.
