A 29-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault after he nearly struck a police officer with the vehicle he was driving as he fled from the parking lot of Party City, 6400 W. 95th St.
Kevin Dean, of Evergreen Park, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 30. Police reportedly attempted to stop the vehicle because Dean was smoking marijuana, however, he drove away before police stopped him a couple blocks westat Car- Max, 6540 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn. Dean was also charged with driving while license suspended and possession of cannabis. He allegedly threw a bag containing more than 10 grams of pot out of the window of the vehicle.
Kenyetta Cobb, 28, of Evergreen Park, was charged with obstruction of justice after she allegedly switched seats with Dean and claimed she was the driver of the vehicle, police said. Two small children were in the vehicle, police said.
Two women were charged with criminal damage to property after they allegedly yelled someone’s name and threw rocksat the windows of a condominium building in the 10400 block of Natoma Avenue.
Renee E. Singer, 31, of Wilmington, and Julie Johannes, 31, of Joliet, were reportedly arrested at 3:19 a.m. Nov. 4.
An 18-year-old man was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took clothing from a store at the Chicago Ridge Mall.
Toni M. Mickey, of Park Forest, was reportedly arrested at 12:50 p.m. Oct. 31. The clothing had a retail value of $132.
A 45-year-old man was reportedly charged with driving with a suspended license after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 10600 block of Washington Street.
Jose A. Calderon, of Berwyn, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 2.
