Two people were reportedly charged with possession of a controlled substance after they were found with heroin at Peak’s Park, 10700 S. Oak Park Ave.
Lisa M. Divita, 23, of Worth, and John M. Batastini, 24, of Palos Park, were arrested at 9:36 a.m. Sept. 11. Divita reportedly had two plastic bags containing heroin in her shirt, and a package of syringes in her purse. Batastini reportedly had a plastic bag containing heroin in a cigarette box in the left pocket of his shorts. The total amount of heroin was .7 grams, police said.
A 70-year-old woman was charged with DUI and failure to yield after she allegedly struck a pedestrian while backing up her car in the 7200 block of 107th Street.
Patricia J. McClusky, of Worth, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Sept. 12. The man she struck was not injured, police said.
A 29-year-old man was reportedly charged with DUI after police stopped the vehicle he was driving at the intersection of 114th Place and Depot Avenue.
Stephen A. Weinert Jr., was arrested at 4:03 a.m. Sept. 6. He was also charged with illegal squealing of tires, failure to signal when required, and driver’s license not on person.
A 24-year-old woman was reportedly charged with theft after she allegedly took a purse from a patron at Bar Code 111, 7016 W. 111th Street.
Courtney M. Burhans, of Oak Lawn, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Sept. 15. A woman told police a friend had left a purse on a table, and Burhans allegedly took the purse from the table. A security officer reportedly saw Burhans in the women’s bathroom with the purse.
A 41-year-old man was reportedly charged with driving with a revoked license after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 6800 block of 107th Street.
Jeffrey J. Carroll, of Worth, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Sept. 8. He was also charged with driving without a seat belt, no front plate, and no proof of insurance.
A 36-year-old man was reportedly charged with driving with a suspended license after he was involved in an accident at the intersection of 110th Place and Harlem Avenue.
Ernest A. Rucker, of Chicago, was arrested at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 12.
A 33-year-old man was reportedly charged with driving without a valid license after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 7200 block of Southwest Highway.
Jorge R. Reyes, of Chicago, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 29. The vehicle he was driving allegedly struck another vehicle. He was also charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
