Criminal damage to property was reported at a home in the 7900 block of 113th Place at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 24. The homeowner told police the glass window of his front door had been broken. Police reportedly found a rock lying between the door and the screen door.

Criminal damage to property was reported at a garage in the 9700 block of 90th Street at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 21. The homeowner told police a wall of his garage had been damaged.

Two men were charged with criminal trespass to state property after they allegedly caused a disturbance at Stagg High School, 8015 W. 111th St.

Joseph Wentz, 20, of Bridgeview, and Kyle Leigh, 18, of Lemont, were arrested at 3 p.m. Sept. 19. Wentz and Leigh came to the school at 1 p.m. Sept. 19 and caused a disturbance in front of the school, police said. When school officials approached them, they reportedly left the area. Police found the men, with baseball bats, in the front seat of a vehicle in the 8000 block of 111th Street.

A 30-year-old man was reportedly charged with possession of cannabis and driving with one headlamp after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 11200 block of 86th Avenue.

A 30-year-old man was reportedly charged with possession of cannabis and driving with one headlamp after police stopped the vehicle he was driving in the 11200 block of 86th Avenue.

The youth was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Sept. 21. Police were patrolling Aspen Park and reportedly saw four people in the park after dark, in violation of a city ordinance. The boy ran and was found a few blocks away, police said. A pipe and small plastic bag containing cannabis were reportedly found on his person.

A 19-year-old man was charged with retail theft and disorderly conduct after he allegedly took a pack of gum from a gas station in the 10300 block of Harlem Avenue.

Hasan Khatib was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 19. A youth who reportedly entered the store with Khatib was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The boy grabbed a bottle of vodka, and when a store clerk tried to stop him Khatib grabbed gum, and the two then left the store, police said.

T heft was reported in the 10400 block of 81st Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 18. A man reportedly told police he had parked his vehicle in front of the home the night before, and when he returned to the car a gym bag containing clothing and shoes was missing.

Theft was reported in the 8500 block of 102nd Terrace at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19. A man told police he parked his vehicle in front of the home at 11:30 a.m. that day, and when he returned found his rear trailer open and two weed whackers missing.

A car fire was reported in the 10300 block of Harlem Avenue at 11:20 a.m. Sept. 19. The vehicle’s owner reportedly told police she noticed smoke coming from under the hood, then saw that the engine compartment engulfed in flames. Police assisted the North Palos Fire Department in extinguishing the fire.

I dentity theft was reported by a resident in the 7400 block of 103rd Street. A man reportedly told police someone opened a credit card account in his name and charged $700 to the account. Two other credit card accounts were opened in the man’s name, police said.
