A 22-year-old Chicago man was charged with three counts of battery after he punched two men and a woman at 4:57 p.m. July 21 at a cellular phone store in the 2500 block of 95th Street, police said.
Cory C. Taylor was reportedly upset after store employees told him they could not activate his cell phone because of contact information discrepancies. Taylor struck the employees in the face and head and also damaged a display rack. He was also charged with criminal damage to property.
Stacey A. Halloran, 36, of Burbank, was charged with battery after she shoved and punched a co-worker in the face at Golden Griddle, 3030 W. 95th St., police said.
An argument preceded the incident which was reported at 8:29 a.m. July 23, police said.
A 23-year-old Chicago man was reportedly charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after police stopped the vehicle he was driving near 91st Street and Pulaski Road.
Quentin F. Bass was arrested at 5:18 p.m. July 25. Police reportedly found a loaded 9 mm semi-automatic handgun within Bass’ reach in the backseat of the vehicle. Bass was also charged with driving while license revoked, failure to wear a seat belt, driving with an obstructed windshield and driving without insurance.
Devonte A. Porter, 18, of Evergreen Park, was charged with battery after he punched a youth in the 2800 block of 99th Street and took and damaged his cell phone, police said.
Porter allegedly flipped the boy to the ground and punched him in the side of the head.
Martell D, Hines, 19, of Evergreen Park, was charged with possession of cannabis at 2:16 p.m. July 24 after his alleged involvement with Porter and a third offender whose name was not released. Hines had less than a gram of cannabis, police said.
Luke W. Brandt, 25, of Evergreen Park, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of anabolic steroids after police reportedly found ecstasy, cocaine, steroids and cannabis on his person, in the vehicle he was driving, and at his residence.
Brandt was reportedly arrested at 12:11 a.m. July 21 after police stopped the vehicle he was driving near 95th Street and Utica Avenue. Police allege he was selling drugs out of his home in the 3000 block of 95th Street. Police reportedly found a bottle of Testosterone cypionate, a glass smoking bong and a digital scale in the vehicle Brandt drove; 4.3 grams of cocaine in two plastic bags tucked inside one of his shoes; and four ecstasy tablets, 18.6 grams of cannabis, a metal grinder, a digital scale and plastic bags at his home.
A Chicago man was charged with possession of cannabis after police stopped the vehicle he was driving near 88th Street and California Avenue, police said.
Daniel B. Palm, 18, was arrested at 9:34 p.m. July 24 after police reportedly stopped the vehicle he was driving because the rear license plate light wasn’t working. Police reportedly found 13 grams of pot in 18 small plastic bags on Palm’s person. He was also cited with driving without a rear registration plate light and driving without insurance, police said.
Alexander A. Jones, 29, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft after he took merchandise with a total retail value of $698 from a store in the 2500 block of 95th Street, police said.
Jones was arrested at 7:57 p.m. July 21. He allegedly took 13 items including fishing lures, a fishing rod, a table fan and a digital stereo receiver.
Fidel Caballero, 57, of Chicago, was charged with felony driving with license revoked, driving without insurance and driving with expired registration after police stopped the vehicle he was driving near 95th Street and Western Avenue at 8:26 a.m. July 25, police said.
