A 41-year-old woman was charged with battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after she allegedly yelled profanities at people at Friendship Fest.

Elizabeth Finan-Kutkowski, of Chicago, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. July 12. She allegedly also kicked two police officers who tried to arrest her.


A theft was reported at Friendship Fest in the 10900 block of 88th Avenue at 12:30 p.m. July 13. Employees reported that someone cut and took ground wire valued at $1,500, police said.


A small fire was reported at a home in the 10500 block of 81st Court at 1 p.m. July 10. The fire began in an upstairs bedroom, and was accidentally started by one of the homeowner’s young children, police said.
