Kristine R. Tanalski

Kristine R. Tanalski, 54, formerly of Evergreen Park, died Jan. 2, at home. Visitation was held at Kenny Brothers Funeral Home in Evergreen Park on Jan.

A funeral Mass was offered at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Evergreen Park on Jan. 7. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Mrs. Tanalski is survived by her husband, Ted.

Mrs. Tanalski was a teacher’s aide at Most Holy Redeemer School.

 

James F. Augustine

James F. Augustine, 76, of Evergreen Park, died Jan. 2, at Evergreen Park Health Care Center. Visitation was held at Brady-Gill Funeral Home in Evergreen Park on Jan. 4. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Bernadette Church in Evergreen Park on Jan. 5. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mr. Augustine is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his sons, John, Larry and Bruce; his daughters, Mary Berger and Susan Lanham; his brother, Kenneth Augustine; his sister, Rosemary Brown; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Augustine was born in Geddes, S.D. He was a technician. Memorials may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076.

Thomas Francis Durkin

Thomas Francis Durkin, 87, of Palos Hills, formerly of Oak Lawn, died Jan. 4. Visitation was held at Hills Funeral Home in Palos Hills on Jan. 8. A funeral Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills on Jan. 9. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth.

Mr. Durkin is survived by his wife, Vienna, his daughters, Colleen Small, Suzanne Wittman and Pam Cemel; his sister, Mary Stenson; several nieces and nephews; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Durkin was born in Chicago. He was retired from General Motors Locomotive Division. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the U.A.W.

Mary M. Finan

Mary M. Finan (née Sullivan), 70, of Oak Lawn, died Dec. 21.

Visitation was held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn on Jan. 6. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Gerald Church in Oak Lawn on Jan. 7. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Oak Lawn.

Mrs. Finan is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Tabaczyk, Eileen Finan, Patricia Finan and Mary Farrell; her son, John; her sisters, Catherine Manning, Josephine Griffin and Eileen Fergus; her brothers, Seamus and Sean; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Finan was born in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland.

Janet L. Albright

Janet L. Albright, 67, of Palos Hills, died Jan. 2. Visitation was held at Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Escanaba on Jan. 6 preceding a committal service at Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, Mich.

Mrs. Albright is survived by her husband, Billy; her daughters, Bonnie, Katherine, Laurie, Sandra, Jill and Jessica; her sons, Ivan, David and Jason; her sisters, Midge and Barbara; her brother, Joseph; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
