Theodore Zasadzinski

Theodore Zasadzinski, 47, of Hickory Hills, died Jan. 8, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Visitation was held at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills on Jan. 11. A chapel service was held at the funeral home on Jan. 12. Burial was at Bethania Cemetery in Justice.

Mr. Zasadzinski is survived by his mother, Dolores; his sister, Kathy Ballard; his brothers, Cameron, Carl and Curtis. Mr. Zasadzinski was a police officer. He was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police.

Rosemarie M. Ahern

Rosemarie M. Ahern (née Moran), 75, of Evergreen Park, died Jan. 9. Visitation was held at Kenny Brothers Funeral Home in Evergreen Park on Jan. 13. A funeral Mass was offered at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Evergreen Park on Jan. 14. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Worth.

Mrs. Ahern is survived by her husband, Patrick F.; her daughters, Maureen T. Dalton, Rosemarie Dubina, Kathleen Littleton, Mary Ellen Garbrecht and Nora Allen; her son, Patrick J. Ahern; her brother, Matthew J. Moran; many nieces and nephews; and 29 grandchildren.

Mrs. Ahern was a retired media specialist at Curie Metro High School in Chicago. Memorials may be sent to the Media Center of Curie Metro High School or the National Alzheimer’s Association c/o Kenny Brothers.

James M. Boyce

James M. Boyce, 57, of Evergreen Park, died Jan. 8, at home. Visitation was held at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park on Jan. 11. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Bernadette Church in Evergreen Park on Jan. 12. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mr. Boyce is survived by his son, James K.; his mother, Marie; his sisters, Mary T. Wright, Rita O’Mara and Dorothy Joyce; and his brother, Michael.

Mr. Boyce was born in Evergreen Park. He was an electrician. He was a member of Local 134 IBEW. Memorials may be sent to Windy City Vets.

Catherine Frango

Catherine Frango (née Frangopoulos), 95, of Palos Hills, died Jan. 10. Visitation was held at Hills Funeral Home in Palos Hills on Jan. 13, preceding a funeral service at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of Oak Lawn. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mrs. Frango is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Frango was born in Chicago. She was a retired waitress.

Alfred Furtner

Alfred Furtner, 77, of Oak Lawn, died Jan. 13. Visitation was held at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park on Jan. 15. A private funeral was held on Jan. 16. Mr. Furtner is survived by his sons, Walter, Fred and John; and many cousins.

Mr. Furtner was born in Czechoslovakia. He was an administrator and long-time employee of Little Company of Mary Hospital. Memorials may be sent to Little Company of Mary Sisters Retirement Fund, 2800 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, IL 60085.
