Jack G. Blackman

Jack G. Blackman, 81, of Homer Glen, formerly of Palos Hills, died Aug. 21 at home. Visitation was held Aug. 24 at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 25 at Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.

Mr. Blackman is survived by his son, Lawrence; his daughter, Marirose Ziemba; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Blackman was born in Chicago. He worked as an electrician with the Federal Sign and Signal Corporation. He served in the Army Reserves.

Ted S. Blaszczak

Ted. S. Blaszczak, 83, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 12 at Manor Care in Palos Heights. Visitation was held Aug. 14 and 15 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 16 at St. Patricia Church in Hickory Hills.

Mr. Blaszczak is survived by his wife, Helen; his son, Todd; his daughters, Darlene Blaszczak and Joyce Hundhausen; his sister, Virginia Stapleton; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Blaszczak was born in Chicago. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Hickory Hills Senior Club.

Bernice Chamberlin

Bernice Chamberlin, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 21 in Joliet. Visitation was held Aug. 24 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 25 at St. Patricia Church in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Bernice Chamberlin, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 21 in Joliet. Visitation was held Aug. 24 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 25 at St. Patricia Church in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Mrs. Chamberlin was born in Chicago. She worked as a waitress. She was the past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Dorman- Dunn Post 547 in Chicago.

Clarence Johnson

Clarence Johnson, 79, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 25 at the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital in Maywood. Visitation was held Aug. 28 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Fairmont-Willow Hills Memorial Park in Willow Springs.

Mr. Johnson was born in Chicago. He worked as an operating engineer and served in the Air Force.

Julius J. Kazunas

Julius J. Kazunas, 85, of Palos Hills, died Aug. 26 at home. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 31 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway in Palos Hills. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 8245 W. 111th St. in Palos Hills. Interment will be at St. Casimir Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th St. in Chicago.

 Mr. Kazunas is survived by his daughters. Jane Scott and Kattalina Kazunas; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Kazunas was born in Chicago. He worked as a postal worker. He was an avid supporter of the Sacred Heart Parish Food Pantry. In lieu of flowers, family members are asking for donations to the Disabled American Veterans fund at dav.org.
