Anna B. Janutis

Anna B. Janutis, née Babich, of Oak Lawn, died Aug. 8 at Advocate Christ Medical Center. Visitation was held Aug. 11 at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home in Palos Hills. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 12 at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church in Oak Lawn. Interment was at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago.

Mrs. Janutis is survived by her son, Raymond; her daughters, Regina Small and Rita Chavarria; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Janutis was born in Chicago and worked in the gasoline industry.

Joseph P. Konkol

Joseph P. Konkol, 70, of Reddick (Kankakee County), formerly of Oak Lawn, died Aug. 7 at home. Visitation and a funeral service were held Aug. 10 at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park. Interment was private.

Mr. Konkol is survived by his wife, Judith; his son, James; his daughter, Jeannette Lambrigger; his brothers, Bob, Frank, Michael, and Vern; his sisters, Veronica and Florence; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Konkol was born in Chicago. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator.

Wietske "Wendy" J. Roon

Wietske “Wendy” J. Roon, 58, née Adema, died Aug. 5 at home in Oak Lawn.

Visitation was held Aug. 8 at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 9 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 10056 Central Ave. in Oak Lawn. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn.

Mrs. Room is survived by her husband, Richard, her son, Sean, her sisters, Joanne Horneman, Adriana Persenaire and Robin Crawford and her brothers, John and Sidney. Mrs. Roon was born in the Netherlands and worked as a teacher at Southwest Chicago Christian Schools and Elim Christian School for over 20 years

Madeleine J. Kubica

Madeleine J. Kubica, 88, née White, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 3 at Providence Healthcare in Palos Heights. Visitation was held Aug. 5 at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home in Palos Hills. A funeral Mass was held Aug. 6 at St. Patricia Church in Palos Hills. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Hillside.

Ms. Kubica is survived by her niece, Nancy Carr; and her greatniece and great-nephew, William and Carrie Coletta, and her 24- year-old French poodle, Mignon.

Ms. Kubica was born in Chicago and worked as a cosmetologist.

Tristin Jeras

Tristin Jeras, 6, of Hickory Hills, died July 26 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. A funeral service was held on July 31 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Tristin is survived by his parents, Aaron and Katie.

Tristin was born in Berwyn.
