Arlene C. Miller

Arleen C. Miller, 72, née Miletich, of Palos Hills, died Aug. 11 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. Visitation was held Aug. 15 at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park. A funeral service was held Aug. 16 at the funeral home. Interment was at Chapel Hill Garden South.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Marc.

Mrs. Miller was born in Chicago. She worked as a clerk for the railroad.

Joseph E. Kovar

Joseph E. Kovar, 29, of Evergreen Park, died Aug. 17 in Chicago Ridge. Visitation was held Aug. 22 at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park. A funeral mass was held Aug. 23 at First Church of God in Oak Lawn. Interment was private.

Mr. Kovar is survived by his fiancée, Melaine Tomas; his son, Joey; his daughter, Mara; his mother, Debbie; his stepfather, Don; his grandfather, Eugene Kovar; his grandmother, Jennie Kovar; his brothers, David and Tommy; and his sister, Alyssa.

Mr. Kovar was born in Evergreen Park. He was a personal trainer and appeared on the MTV reality show “The Real World: Hollywood.”

Dorothea Karl Knock

Dorothea Karl Knock, 72, née Karl, died on Aug. 24 in Bridgeview. Visitation was held Aug. 27 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral mass was held Aug. 28 at Our Lady of the Ridge in Chicago Ridge. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mrs. Knock is survived by her daughters, Terry Belseth, Joanne Beemsterboer, Cheryl Rokaska, Suzanne Epich, and Julianne Leonard; her brother, Richard Karl; and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Knock was born in Chicago. She was a secretary.

Lilia Lopez

Lilia Lopez, 52, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 11 at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. Visitation was held Aug. 15 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her husband, Gerardo.

Mrs. Lopez was born in Mexico. She worked at a meat packing company.

James A. Rodgers

James A. Rodgers, 70, of Evergreen Park, died Aug. 12 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. Visitation was held Aug. 17 at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park. A funeral service was held Aug. 18 at the funeral home. Interment was at Bethania Cemetery in Justice.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Laurie; and his sisters, Joyce Kudla and Linda Kosary.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Chicago. He worked in window installation.
