Dorothea Karl Knock

Dorothea Karl Knock, 72, née Karl, died on Aug. 24 in Bridgeview. Visitation was held Aug. 27 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral mass was held Aug. 28 at Our Lady of the Ridge in Chicago Ridge. Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mrs. Knock is survived by her daughters, Terry Belseth, Joanne Beemsterboer, Cheryl Rokaska, Suzanne Epich, and Julianne Leonard; her brother, Richard Karl; and 12 grandchildren.

Mrs. Knock was born in Chicago. She was a secretary.

Lilia Lopez

Lilia Lopez, 52, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 11 at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. Visitation was held Aug. 15 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her husband, Gerardo.

Mrs. Lopez was born in Mexico. She worked at a meat packing company.

James A. Rodgers

James A. Rodgers, 70, of Evergreen Park, died Aug. 12 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. Visitation was held Aug. 17 at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park. A funeral service was held Aug. 18 at the funeral home. Interment was at Bethania Cemetery in Justice.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Laurie; and his sisters, Joyce Kudla and Linda Kosary.

Mr. Rodgers was born in Chicago. He worked in window installation.

Janice Ann Tan

Janice Ann Tan, 70, née Schnayer, of Chicago, died Aug. 10 at her son’s house in Joliet. Visitation was held Aug. 13 at Kosary Funeral Home in Evergreen Park. A funeral mass was held Aug. 14 at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Mrs. Tan is survived by her husband, William; her son, William Jr.; her daughters, Robin Papesh, Cynthia Fikejs, Susan Douglas, and Jennifer Skourlis; her brother, Wayne Schnayer; her sisters, Charlene Lizotte and Patricia Elam; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Tan was born in Chicago. She worked as a data processor for Avon.

Leona Wolski

Leona Wolski, 84, of Hickory Hills, died Aug. 9 in Wisconsin. A funeral service was held on Aug. 14 at Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. Interment was at Oakland Cemetery in Dolton.

Mrs. Wolski is survived by her son, Ron Wolski; and her daughter, Bonnie Mirkiewicz.

Mrs. Wolski was born in Chicago. She worked as a homemaker.
