James E. Kennelly, 71, formerly of Worth, died Feb. 23 at his home in Crown Point, Ind. Visitation was held Feb. 26 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral service was held Feb. 27 at the funeral home. Interment was private.
Mr. Kennelly is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Patricia Ann Boyce; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Kennelly was born in Chicago. He for many years owned the Worth Currency Exchange. He was involved with the Worth Park District for more than 30 years, and served as president of the park district's board of commissioners for 24 years.
