Crisis Center holds holiday gift drive

From Karen Wegrzyn
Director of Development

The holidays are often a special and magical time of year. However, for women and children who are escaping abuse, the holiday season is often filled with homelessness, joblessness, loneliness and fear.

At the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, we are inspired to create hope and comfort for the families we serve by surrounding them with support and affording them the joy of being able to share gifts with one another in the spirit of the season.

We are enlisting the help of community members to help make the holidays a bit brighter for the residents of the Crisis Center by asking groups, organizations and individuals to consider adopting a family. Family wish lists are available by contacting Kerri at the Crisis Center, at 429-7255, Ext. 126, or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s mission is to provide emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and address the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence.
