Oak Lawn held its annual Fall on the Green last Friday through Sunday, with the festival occupying the Village Green as well as the grounds of the Oak Lawn Public Library and Oak Lawn Village Hall. The feel of autumn was in the air, as the sweltering temperatures that had baked the area all summer abated, to be replaced by pleasant weather perfect for outdoor activities. Among the attractions at Fall on the Green were a carnival ride, climbing wall, mechanical bull, music and bath tub races. Children swarmed the playground and inflatable obstacle courses on the Village Green, and a Ferris wheel stood iconically at the corner of 95th Street and Raymond Avenue.
