Hunt on the Green
Oak Lawn will hold an Easter Egg Roll on the Village Green on Saturday, March 30. Egg hunts are planned for children in preschool through fourth grade at 11:30 a.m., Noon and 12:30 p.m. Parents may take pictures of their children with the Easter Bunny. Children must bring own Easter basket to hunt. The Village Green is located at 94th Street and Cook Avenue, north of the Oak Lawn Public Library.
The Chicago Ridge Public Library, 103rd Street and Oxford Avenue, will hold an egg hunt from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30. To register call 423-7753.
The library will present “Hop” (G) at 1 p.m. Friday, March 29.
Breakfast, baked, bunny
Oak Lawn Community Church, 9000 Ridgeland Ave., will hold an Easter breakfast, egg hunt and bake sale from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23. Breakfast will feature pancakes, sausage, potatoes, toast, biscuits and gravy, eggs and beverages. Cost is a free will offering. Baked goods will be sold. The Easter Bunny is scheduled to attend. Egg-decorating at the Oak Lawn Public Library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave., will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 28 (3 to 5 years) and 3 to 5 p.m. (kindergarten through fifth grade). Decorate a plastic egg with stickers, sequins, yarn and more. Caregiver must be present for children under 8 years. No advanced registration.
Twilight Egg Hunt
A hunt for youths in fifth through 12th grades will be at 7:45 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the Worth Park District’s Terrace Centre, 11500 Beloit Ave. Bring flashlights. Registration deadline is March 15. Fee for Worth residents is $9, nonresidents are $13.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Chicago Ridge Park District will hold a free egg hunt for Chicago Ridge residents from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 23 at Frontier Fieldhouse, 9807 S. Sayre Ave. Bring ID to prove residency. There will be blow ups, birdie ball, face painting, bonnet contest, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Bunny for Breakfast
A free continental breakfast with the Easter Bunny for Evergreen Park children up to 11 years old will be Saturday, March 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Community Center, 97th Street and Homan Avenue in Evergreen Park. Make a craft project, watch Easter cartoons and decorate an egg. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
